Losing Boost!

So I have a 05 SS with only an AEM intake and Borla exhaust; she was running normal (11ish lbs of boost) for a while until the other day when I noticed I can't seem to get above 6 lbs! It has been like this for days now...please help!!

with a full exhaust u will se a drop in PSI, but still increase in power, i havent heard from a intake dropping boost though...running 6psi means something is wrong...no way he would be loosing that kind of boost from a mod he did, unless its done wrong

Bypass valve problem , belt slip.....or possibly the Heat exchanger pump died causing the car to pull boost due to high IAT2's . Pull the little cap of the HE system and see if the coolant is moving at all.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the quick replies guys:
-I have no CELs, the HE system seems to be working, and I don't believe belt slip to be the issue (wouldn't I hear or feel this happening?),
-as for the boost solenoid, bypass valve, and bypass butterfly, I am ashamed to say I don't know where to look for these potential problem areas - any additional info here would be greatly appreciated as I really do not want to have to take it to the dealer and get taken for a ride; I'd rather flush my money down the crapper myself than give it to those guys

Good info from these guys here.

I would just do the boost bypass mod first and that is removing the hose on the bottom of the boost bypass solenoid, which is bolted to the side of the SC.

No boost

I have on 09 cobalt ss(stock). I left for Miami yesterday morning(about 2 hour drive) and on my way back later that day, I noticed the turbo was not working. I discovered the intake was detached where the rubber connects to the bolt, so I reattached it(quite easily) but it still doesn't work. The dealer is not open today, err the service center specifically, and I need to be back in Miami by 7 am tomorrow. Suggestions?

Thumbs down Gauge broke?

So I'm starting to think that I may not be losing boost, but instead, my gauge is failing: my boost gauge now reads no boost at all (in fact, it stays at 20; even when I turn the battery on it doesn't default to 0 like it should) NOW WHAT? is the gauge bad or is a vacuum line busted?

this is going to sound stupid..... did anyone put 87 octane gas in it? Did you let anyone drive it that might have put 87 octane gas in it? that would cause your issue.

Just take off the bottom vac hose on the Boost solenoid and let it vent to the air to see if that solves the problem
