Low oil problem!!!!! Hellppp!!!!!!!

I just did mt oil change two days ago and for some strange reason my oil is low after putting 5 quarts in. I changed the drain plug and oil filter as well, and it is tight with no oil leaking around them at all.

So what else could i check to see why it is so low?

is it actually low? you pulled the dip stick and physically seen its low?

look for leaks..... look around the oil filter( my guess is you didnt install/correctly install that O ring ).. look around the vavle cover and anywhere els around the motor. you will find it, or at the very least smell it when the cars running.. ( burning it )

and uh, these cars dont throw the oil indicator untill you drive it with NO, none, zip oil in it... i lost my drain plug one day, i know. So dont drive it.. lol

if your having that much trouble you cant see where 5 qts went in 2 days, take it to a oil change shop. they got bays and can fully inspect under and over the car. they will find it.

Thanks bro! I will do that. I checked all over the motor and there are no signs of leaking from the valve cover or the bottom of the head - i didn't see anything around the oil pan, oil filter or the drain plug so idk where it is coming from. And just this morning my check engine like came on too but there is no knocking or anything.

But i will take it to them and see what they can do for me. Thanks again bro!

It rattles like a basturd with no oil. You will hear it lol

Theres definatly no oil around the filter? You put the o ring in right and didnt break it???

You also never said you checked the dip stick? It is infact right out?

Really wierd if so..

The 2.2 takes 5 qts , the lsj iirc is just a toucj over. 6qts???

I checked it all out and come to find out. My friend told me that it needs 6 to 6.5 quarts.....

I filled it up and its full. Drove it around and checked it the next day. Still the same so its all good.

Also the check engine light was my coolant temperature sensor. So i cleared the code and ima going to have it replaced this weekend.

I appreciate all the help and support from you guys!!! Thanks!!!

im having another issue with the car now. Check out my new post and see if anyone can help. Thanks.
