LUGS SNAPPED OFF! WTF ADVICE?? pics inside
In my experience, the LS has shitty lugs. The 4x100 cars have a nasty habit of doing this. I've busted a few lugs when I had the G5 from just breaking the lugs loose (Properly torqued with a torque wrench, too).
Provided your rotor and other things were not fucked up, you can install new lugs yourself. They're pressed in, so you will either need to take the hub assembly to a machine shop and have them pressed in, or you can take an open ended lug nut and some washers and use an impact wrench to press them in.

If anyone cares to know i finally fixed her up today! Dealer wanted over $700 to fix it so i decided to do it myself.
Spent $85 on parts and $15 on a socket, took me all of maybe two hours and thats counting the multiple trips to Autozone for the socket then back to return and get the correct socket Lol and back again for a breaker bar(which i returned after use haha) and not to mention break time for pizza..
Score one for me! WOOP WOOP

Id have swaped out BOTH rotors though, for even wear, as well as all 4 front pads, while I was in there. But thats just me.
Sucks about the car though!
I had the same problem with the dealer by me. I had wheel studs snap off regularly for a while so I went in for warranty work and they said that it was the lowering springs or my aftermarket rims. I hate dealers!! Sorry to hear that happened but ur ok and that's the big part
yup **** was pretty scary luckily i was in a residential area so wasnt going fast at all
Yes on many jobs the mechanics get paid less time for warrantee than they do for customer pays. Gm updates the flat rates on DP but the rates don't get adjusted on the customer pays.
they get paid **** for warranty work, unless they are really slow, they will always try to get out of it because with that time they can be working on another car and making more money, but they might even be getting paid salary so if they don't want to fix it...
