Fortunately fauilure of the fuel pump (aka fuel tank module) is not a common occurance on the Cobalt, but of course it CAN happen. You can prevent damage to your fuel pump by always using commercial grade Top Tier fuels, keeping from running very low fuel levels or worse running completely OUT of fuel (which overheats the fuel pump) and NOT adding any unapproved chemicals or additives to your fuel tank or exceeding the recommended concentrations for any fuel treatments or alcohols (gasoline anti-freeze) which can shorten the fuel pump life expectancy.
Hope your car gets back to you soon

but the weird thing that i dint used any of does and the car never pass from under 1/4 of the tank and i always fill it with Texaco 93 octane fuel
i think i just got a car with bad pump from factory
lol
i hope it doesn't happen again
Well I'm not sure if Puerto Rico is participating in the Top Tier fuel program, but I will look into it.
I know that some export fuels have been known to contain certain compounds that can be to the detriment of the fuel pump (and injectors) Often these fuels contain higher levels of sulfer, certain harmful oxygentates (MTBE) , or non-approved octane bolstering additives such as MMTs.
I guess you will know soon enough if every Cobalt in PR stars to fail due to the fuel pump

becouse have been 2-3 weeks with very dense sahara dust and insane hot
i ask couse i dont know much about does things and i want to be clear and find a reason that happen
Well if significant sand/silicates are getting into the tank somehow (during refueling??), I guess it could result in early pump failure. Once they get the old pump out it should be much easier to check for tank contamination or clogging of the inlet "sock" filter.
