Hello guys i need some help asap! I have a 06 Cobalt ss/sc and its pushing oil out of the oil fill cap. It also has a little blow by coming out of the cap, and I went to check the spark plugs to see if there was oil and 3 out of the 4 plugs were covered in oil... Does that mean my piston rings are bad? Another question i have is it is under warrenty and will a shorty header void that warrenty?

Check if ur crank case vent hose is plugged in any way, if it is ur crank case is pressurizing causing oil to come out of the easiest point.

 

Dealerships will pick almost anything and say it voids your warranty. It would be wise to change that to stock if you end up taking it there.

 

Unless you baught an extended warranty or one of those warranty plans, then you are not under warranty with an 06.

Do like the other guy said and check your crank case breather. You may need to replace your valve cover gasket rings around the spark plugs though.
