Need service instructions for Cabin blower

Mine has developed a rattle. I got underneath the passenger side dash to drop it out and try cleaning it, but couldn't find a single screw. Everything was plastic molded together. I didn't see any way to just remove the blower itself.

So, to all you GM Techs out there, could you please copy and paste the remove and replace instructions for the blower assembly. Thanks.

Here is the procedure. Sorry there are no pictures, I don't know how to post a web page and I can't insert a link because it is a secure sight. Actually, I think the instructions come with the new blower motor if it is from GM.

You have got to be kidding me? I have to cut the case off of the car, and then reattach it with screws? Who the hell designed this system? Why would you not have the assembly put together with screws in the first place so as to make disassembly and servicing something you can do without having to cut plastic? So stupid. So now, I can't just take the thing apart to clean it because I would need the screws and "service ring" included with a new blower in order to put it all back together. Stupid.

whoa.. i swear I posted... anyway..

PAIN IN THE BUTT to get the heater core and air box out of there.. so, if you can get it by cutting the motor out, by all means, go that route.

Who said anything about the heater core? I just want to service the blower, which is plainly accessible from the passenger side. But, as I have now learned, GM left no means of removing it without cutting it out. And that is just stupid.

Welcome to my world as a GM tech! All the manufactures do things that are really stupid from a service standpoint. After 17 years with Ford and 10 with GM, I can tell you that the blower motor is a relatively well designed! It really isn't as bad to install as it sounds, and once done it can be removed very easily.
