Need Some Suggestions
I wrecked my car a while back. It went to the shop and was "fixed." When I got it back I noticed the front passengers side tire monitor was showing up as "--." I took it back to the shop and asked them about it and they told me it was the tire monitor. Not too long ago I bought new tires for it and the tire shop said that they put a new monitor in it and it would work for about 30 seconds and would go right back to reading "--." They tried a few different ones and they all did the same thing. Anyone know what could be causing this? I'm stationed across the country and won't be getting leave for a while, so taking it back to the shop isn't an option and I would like to get it fixed before I deploy.
disconnect the battery, let it sit for like 30min,connect the battery again. and see if it goes back to normal. ive never tried it, but i know discounting the battery helps with some stuff. also try this, turn the key on (dont start the car) press the gas pedal 10 times, and start the car, i know thats for reseting the oil life deal, but might work for the tire deal also.
