Mine is driving fine now after it snapped back it....

 

mne was broke as ****... 469.00 later. and they didn't even wash my ****. WTF

 

Well they are fixing mine. I also ordered a stock shifter assembly and cables from a junkard and wouldnt u know that the cable i need is snapped at the trans bracket...looks like the car was hit so hard it just snapped the collar that holds it in place, so now i gotta return them. grrrr atleast I should get my car back tomorrow. and now i have a stock shifter...the damn thing was 100!

I had the samw problem and it was a loose cable the dealer tightened it and not problems since then. I don't have an aftermarket shifter but, I had to get the stock one replaced with a new stock one and that is when itoccurred.

 

i have had no problems with mine, however, i did have this happen in my old cavalier, 2nd, 4th, and reverse magically dissapeared....... the shift linkage had broken, all to ****, lol, there was pieces of it in the shifter area, i dont know why it broke, i wasnt driving the car hard at all, simply pulling out of the local icecream place, then i hear a bang, and the shifter felt like it was in neutral...... good luck man
