ok dude check ur Cat because mine completly burned the cat and i was losing compression and everything thank god my dealer covered it under warranty! trust me itll get worse and worse then ur cel will come on and it sucks!

 

I get that too and I posted a thread on it a while back. It sounds like a high pitched almost whistling noise when you accelerate hard and your up there in RPM's right? I took it to chevy to check it out and they said my air filter was msaligned and they "fixed" it and it didnt change it for ****. Im convinced its something else. I get it all the time and it annoys me. Anyone have any ideas? I have the auto so I cant say its the high gear and low rpms thing. I hope its my tranny so I can have them replace it and bitch and complain to get my money back so I can get an SS/SC,lol.

 

i took it in 2 days ago and they blamed it on my air box mod

so i reversed it to stock and ill bring it back and see what they'll say

 

My wifes car had the same sound. Dealership found it was a cracked gasket in the exhaust. Replaced for free.


Does it make the sound when the car is moving? I f so that should be the problem.

 

Hmmm, I might send my car down to service today to check it out.
