thought this was pretty random soo i figured ide post up what happined maybe it could help someone down the line i havent seen anything on this b4

soo for the passed 2 weeks ive been trying to get my trifecta cable to connect to the car..5 laptops later and the help of 2 computer nerds and a tuner i gave up ..
then tn i was at my boys shop working on his car and when the scanner came out to reset his codes i said f*** it for sh**s and giggles lets see if mine will connect and if so what codes will i run..sure enough no connection !..
after trouble shooting for a while i remembered something about the wiring for cigar lighters commonly running into the obd2 wiring ..soo i checked the fuze for the cigar light and bam! blown fuze ..lol felt stupid after how much ive been thinking it was the cable or the laptop or something ..hopefully this can help somebody one day felt it was a random problem for sure

 

I blew that fuse running my air pump, sure enough i threw a p0300 at the same time and when my scanner was dead i figured it out. First time in over 5 years so yeah kinda random and good to know.
