Oil question??

I checked the level of my oil the other day and found this on the end of the dip stick. By the looks of my pics does this mean I might have a leak in the head gasket?

I'm almost positive that is what it is but just would like some 2nd opinions.

Thank You.

does look a little milky colored. cant tell for sure from here. you can always run a compression test to check for a bad head gasket.

Did you take the oil cap off and look in there as well?

Coolant is mixing with the oil somehow. More than likely a head gasket and or craked engine block. Under warranty still?

Take it to a dealer and have them check it out. My guess is a headgasket.

Update

Took the car in. The mechanic could not find the problem, so they are sending part of the engine off to GM. To have it pressure tested. Got a Pontiac G6 for a loner/rental ( all on GM). And all the repairs are covered under warranty.

Smile possible resolution to oil problem

This foaming residue is a classic case of crankcase moisture. Your PVC valve may not be evacuating the crankcase, and the moisture is foaming in the oil. have the crankcase vent system checked and I think you will find your problem. Good luck, Ken.
