One of the Accessory Outlets Will Not Work!

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My accessory outlet that is just under my HVAC controls has no power going to it.

I guess I have two questions.

1. How hard is it to get behind the outlet to see if it is Just not connected.

2. How easy would it be to get the dealer to replace this if it isn't a connection problem.

Thanks

I think you can just pull all the trim off around the radio and pull the hvac out and see if its hooked up. There is a how to on how to pull all the trim off. Did you check fuses?

yeah it all comes off without any tools. Just pull away. But before you take it all apart did you check the fuses?

I will have to take a look. I think it has been this way from the factory which leads me to believe that the fuse may be ok. I will look at it tomorrow if the weather is good. Does anyone have a link to a wiring diagram for the fuse block so I can figure out which fuse that I am looking for?

nevermind... I found where the fuse box and diagram is... lol search button lol

yeah look at that first... If you end up taking a look at the plug, take off the plasic around the ebrake first, then unscrew the boot from your shift knob, remove the knob, then remove the plasic around the shifter (cupholders and all). The only thing holding this piece to the car are the connections to both the 12V plugs.

Hopefully it is just a blown fuse. GL Rory lol

That fuse for the cigarette lighter is in the engine bay. It also powers the OBDII port. The accessory outlet near the E Brake is in the interior fuse panel.

For the cig lighter, look for a fuse in the engine bay called "LTR". 20a IIRC

Yea, check your fuses. I had a cell phone charger that for my car and one day I plugged it up ( car was only 3 or 4 months old) and popped the fuse.

pull the trim from around the ebrake
pull the ebrake boot up
pull the whole thing out and check the connection

I found the problem for mine a little while ago. It was the 15A fuse that is under the hood like WickedSS2005 had mentioned. As they have mentioned above. the two accessory outlets are on two different fuses.

the fuse did not like that at all. took me 2 weeks to figure out what LTR meant cause i couldn't find the owners manual. lol
