Only getting about 1.5 psi boost at most.

Hi guys, I've had the intermittent P0236 code, fluttering turbocharger and limp mode problem for awhile now. And, none of the shops I've taking it in to so far had any idea what was wrong with it. They're just guessing to try and make money off me. First guy told me it was the boost bypass valve solenoid, and it would be like 450 dollars to replace. So, I did some research found one on eBay for 60 and it only took me a few minutes to replace the thing, didn't make any difference. The next shop told me the wastegate actuator needed replacing, again found one on eBay, tried to replace it, gave up because I could barely get to anything under there, decided I better quit while I was ahead. So, I had the shop do it, they said the top vacuum hose was disconnected and the actuator rod was slightly bent, cost me about 380, it was running great for the first day or two, was optimistic that I had finally gotten it taking care of, and then old P0236 reared it's ugly head and started doing the fluttering again (sounds like a cartoon character snoring)(woo woo woo woo). That's when I started to learn about the the bottom map sensor causing problems. I replaced my gms1 map sensors and the wiring looks like it was done properly. It worked fine for awhile after that, then it started back up again, I took my sensors off cleaned them put them back on and for what ever reason it was working fine for awhile again. Then, was on my way home from work the other day, car was running great and then all the sudden while accelerating my boost just cut off, this time no CEL, no limp mode, just no boost, or barely any. So I'm thinking something else is wrong. Could it be the bypass solenoid? Do I have a major boost leak? I made a boost leak tester, but I'm not understanding how to use it correctly. Any help on how to do the leak test or ideas as to what might be wrong would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

I got up under there earlier and was able to move the wastegate actuator rod back and forth freely. Seems the spring broke. I had my entire actuator replaced not that long ago, or at least I thought I did. I'm beginning to think they didn't even put the new one in I provided. I think they need to replace it for free.

I have another wastegate actuator, but I'm afraid it will just break like the other one. Got both of them on Ebay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F223509421131

Anyone have experience with these? Perhaps they're cheaply made? Anyone ever fitted a "universal" actuator to their stock LNF turbo? Universal Fit Actuators
