P0111 Code Issues
P0111 Code Issues
Hi all - I have a 2006 SS non-supercharged Cobalt that's recently been giving me some grief by throwing a P0111 error code. I changed out the MAF/IAT sensor module, cleared the code but about 100 miles down the road it keeps re-appearing. Looking at the IAT temperature values on the scan tool seem to be reasonable while running (though I have to see if I can find an app for the KIWI that will let me get the freeze-frame data)- but w/o knowing the Chevy specifics on what their logic is that will cause the code to be thrown makes it a little tough to diagnose. I traced the harness around best that I could and the terminals appear to be corrosion free and intact. Being in upstate NY with all this *wonderful* road salt, I'm contemplating it could be a corroded sensor ground depending on where that's picked up (I'm not sure if it's a pin directly on the PCM or brought out to the frame someplace - I'm looking around to find an engine wiring harness diagram)
Has anyone run across this or have some insight to what I other things I should be looking for?
Thanks!

It would seem unlikely, though not impossible, that the replacement sensor that I put in there is bad too.... I just want to rule anything else out before I go through the hassle of taking it back out and exchanging it again.
