Passenger Door: HELP!
Passenger Door: HELP!
Hey,
I'm having problems with my passenger door. If you shut it too hard, or after so many times closing it, the panel starts to sag off, causing the door to get stuck, and you have to pry the thing open. I found two bent/broken Door Panel Retainers/Clips, or 'Christmas Trees' as some put it.
These are the retainers and clips in my door (As you can see, these are broken, missing the other side of the 'clamping' device):

This is what the internet seems to be saying I'm suppose to have:

And this is the closest thing on the internet that I COULD find:

Any input on this? Do you think either would suffice?
I'm honestly thinking about just leaving these two out, strategically placing the ones I have, and then gorilla gluing the spots it sags... Thoughts?
If anyone can find me the correct retainers/clips that I can purchase, that would be a miracle.
Also, I'm sure most of you know of the manual transmission requiring that you lift up on the stickshift in order to put it in reverse. Does this render you from being able to put on a custom shifter knob?

my passenger door panel has been loose for over a year now and the clips i have are black like the picture but i just didnt get into it on how it came off yet, im in texas and **** melts..
that **** looked like a melted mess but i chalked it up to showing off the cars power and scaring the **** out of my passengers
Mine have been loose for over a month. It all happened after someone slammed my door really hard. I think the retainers/clips got messed up when they put in my stereo, though.
I'm debating if I should try and buy/fix it with those, or just straight up gorilla glue the small spot it's sagging in. Or do both.
