ok, i turbocharged my 2.2 and did a base tune and was gonna dial in the tune when i got the downpipe made. i ran without no exhaust for a couple of days til i got my downpipe made, i now have a downpipe and finally fixed my oil leak. on the way back from fixin the leak i started hearing a sound. i thought it was from my exhaust hittin the underside of the car. as im drivin home its gets louder and louder. has anyone else experienced this issue? i know for sure i had the wrong spark plugs after checking around so im gettin my ngk 1 step colder plugs on friday, would that be the problem possibly? HELP ME PLEASE!! haha, thanks

You ran it without any exhaust ?
wasnt it loud.
The noise you probably hear is the sound of the new pipe expanding and contracting.
Do you only hear it after you shut the car off. If so I would say for sure its the exhaust pipe contracting when it cools down.

naw, i hear it while the car is on. the sound is coming from the head

Well then would it be valve noise,I was told top end noise is usually double the rate of rpm.

Driving without exhaust isnt to good for the valves from what I heard,No back pressure.

x2 driving without an exhaust is bad for the engine. so ive been told.

i was thinkin valve problem too, but ima try a couple things before i pull apart the head. ima change my spark plugs and check my CEL
