Please help door won't open

Wen't to grab lunch today and when getting out my passenger was un able to open the door. ive never had any problems before this. both the inside and outside handle pull but the door won't open more than just to crack it. when pulling on the outside handle it seems like it pulls out farther than its supposed to and it feels like its trying to catch on something but then just pulls all the way out. has anyone had any problems like this or know how i could fix it??

No, it's probably the most common of all cobalt issues.

ok so i tried banging on the door and the handle to try to get it to work with no luck.

i did notice however if the door is closed and i hit the unlock button the door will crack open slightly then catch on the latch. if i then hit the unlock button again the door will open completly.

i believe its caused when you the grab the door handle while it going from lock to unlock and it will get stuck. and you can put the window down and use the key in the door to get out

This happed in my old LT, right when I pulled up to my college and went to get out. I had to crawl out the other door, but then 50 min later it worked and I never had a problem again.

It comes and goes... I haven't had a problem 8 months and then all the sudden the past 3 days it has been nonstop. But I rarely have the inside problem, just the door not catching the latch and closing when I slam it.

my door wont open at all but will open partially right after i unlock and then will open completly when i hit the unlock button again. however the door will not open at all from the inside.

I was unable to get the door panel off today as i dont have any tools and the one screwdriver i have is of course the wrong size. so it looks like i'm going to have to wait until this weekend to try to fix it
