Okay, this is what is happening when I start the car. I'll sit down, hit the clutch and turn the ignition. The car will start, but it cranks for a while. It is very hard to start. Once it finally turn over it idles good. There is no problem with the idling. However, once I go to give it gas, there is no power in the gas pedal. Maybe a sensor or fuel pump??? The car has around 68,000 miles on it, too. Thanks again fellas.

Sounds like a fuel or spark problem, but I would lean toward a fueling problem. Check your fuel pressure (there is a check valve at the fuel rail) and make sure you are seeing the correct pressure. I believe it should be at 60 psi. If fuel pressure is low it *could* be a fuel filter, but more than likely you may need to replace the fuel pump.

Could be a cam or crank sensor.
Check the wiring to these for damage.

Do a search of the form !I've read a few with similar sceniario.

Okay thanks. I misunderstood when my father told me, but the car will rev or rpm's will go up when you hit the gas is the car is on. It just doesn't feel right. And it takes a while to turn over after you turn the ignition. Any other suggestions?
