please post resolutions to p0300 misfire code

I have been searching for days about this subject with no real answer. I have a 06 ss/sc with a ottp stage 3 kit. 60 injectors and 2.8 pulley. I am getting the random misfire code. when I search for answers, I do find some but nobody reports back and says what fixed their misfire problem. Any help would be great.

Are you zzp canned tuned? if so I would recommend getting it re-tuned. 60's are more prone to misfire/idling issues than 42's... I also had the same issue and a retune fixed it.

Ditto, ZZP re-tuned me and all the misfires went away. I recommend doing it that way instead of taking out the injectors, sparkplugs, and your intake to look for problems like I did.

I keep getting the same code with similar setup as OP. It has gradually gotten more frequent, and now I am getting the code daily(even twice in one day). It usually happens at idle. Could this be tune realated? I recently changed my plugs, but that hasn't seemed to help any. I bought my car already built with a tune on it, so I have no idea who did the tuning. When I had the car dynoed, they only thing they told me was it's tuned for the 60's, so they didn't mess with tune.

hard to get rid of P0300 with 60# injectors. Either tune the code out or just live with it.

Ok, thanks! I wasn't sure why I went from almost never having the code pop to almost throwing it daily. Already looking at getting retuned anyway

My car always throws this code. It mostly did it in the winter time when I was letting it warm up, now it does it whenever. I tried new spark plugs, seafoam, and a top engine clean, but none of that worked so if the tune helps let me know. I'm still completely stock experiencing this problem.

Can you feel the misfires or are you just getting the code? I couldn't feel the misfires on mine but I monitored with my interceptor and found at idle and decal is when the car would misfire. Never under acceleration or cruising. If the car is misfiring noticably and while driving it may be something else.

ive watched misfires as well, only at idle or cruising it would pop a code.

I could never feel it / or see it on the interceptor under acceleration.

Im having my tuner look into it if he figures out a solution ill pass on the info.

I never noticed/felt any misfires...usually happens at idle, but had some while cruising too.

There's more than one reason that causes a random misfire. These guys are pointing out the tune because its in their eyes the most obvious change you made. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't fix the problem. Keep in mind that its possible for a tune to compensate for random misfiring without actually fixing what's actually causing it.

I can tell you the usual causes are related to a fuel, air, or spark issue.

ok so here is my story: It all started with no codes but poor wondering idle and a hard start condition. I took the tb apart and cleaned it. It took my injen cai out to clean and inspect it. I cleaned the maf with maf cleaner. I found the my cai had a cut in the tube where it rubbed against the opening it goes thru. The filter looked really bad. I fixed the hole and replaced the filter with a spectre filter. Started the car and got my first code for the maf. The car drove a little better but not great. I replaced the maf and decided to replace the purge siloniod too. I should have replaced them one at a time but one or both cured my hard start problem. After that I started getting the random misfire code and running rich bank 1. I replaced the upstream o2 sensor. The car ran a little better but still threw the same codes. After some searching on here, I lot of people said the cai could cause that problem. I ordered a zzp 3" cai. I have had it installed for 4 days now and no codes. The car is running great. Crazy!
