Possible cause of tick?

So for the past maybe 2 years ive had a tick/rattle in my motor. It happens only at 1200-1400rpm or so and is gone at idle and higher rpm's.

I was advised to check the guides so I pulled it all apart and checked for broken guides. All was fine. Swapped out for the new style tensioner as well.

I assumed it was a bad lifter since the sound was impossible to track down. It doesn't really sound like it is coming from the timing area at all.

So fast forward to yesterday. I was swapping my valve cover out and noticed the timing chain. Here is what I found. Could this be a source of my noise or is this normal in certain instances?

ur tensioner uses oil pressure to tension. so the chain isn't loose cause there isn't full tension on it without the motor running. I had a tick in my motor, it was a worn cam lobe. check ur cam lobes. all of them.

I can't tell from the video,
but it says he has a 2002 chevy Caviler (Next to his name) , or a 2003 Chevy Cavilear (On his profile)

I dont think those use LNFs.

LSJ.... Supercharger is in video.

Also Like stated above the new tensioner is oil pressure operated, compared to the old spring loaded one.

It is spring and maybe oil assisted?

they do have a spring, but if u look at them they have oil passages in them. so maybe it uses spring but as the engine runs faster it needs the oil preasure to keep tension.
