This started a little while ago (2007 chevy cobalt ss/sc) .....the air/fuel is all over the place, when in idle or slowing down it goes very rich / very lean then may stall, luggs in low gear and sometimes cuts out at high RPM.
I can only think its some fuel delivery problem.
