question for 2.4(automatic) SS guys

Just curious has anyones TC and ABS lights pop on every once and awhile after hitting bumps? Then afterwards the transmission would shift really hard? Mine does it everyonce and a while I'm gonna take it to school and put it on a lift and check if the sensors are loose and if its not that then I'll take it to the dealer. I went to the dealer one time and they were crying about the calipers being painted and said if the sensor is covered in paint its not warrantied. Then I told him if thats the reason then it would the light would be on constantly and he shut up. So.... Has anyone taken theres to the dealer for this reason?

maybe a sensor is messed for some reason, i doubt it was the caliper paint though.

my ABS used to act up every once in a while when I had my 2.4.... about once a month or so.

stop the car... shut it off.... restart... ABS light gone... hard shifts gone...

That used to happen with my Grand Am. There would be a code for excessive wheel speed variation. I took the ABS sensor plugins out, packed them with dielectric grease and they never came back on.

What an absolute moron your service guy is though. The sensor is sealed so water can't get in, how in the hell does thick paint get in?

It may not be your trans. There is a TSB for a gauge cluster reflash to correct an intermittent brake light actuation. I had it done. My brake annunciator would quickly flash every now and then, and all they had to do was upgrade the software.
