So I picked up my 07 cobalt ss/sc with 81k on it. She runs like a champ, but I'm replacing the slipping clutch... But all that aside I am seeing some oddities. First at random my sunroof wont open to the first stop, but I can open it all the way. This has happened twice. My DRL have not worked on several occasions. And yesterday my wipers worked, but no water, so I filled the fluid and no go, then this morning it is working..... All really odd and random issues. Nothing in the gauges, or anything else so far, but just those three random items..

Anyone else ever see this kinda weird behavior?

 

Ive had those on and off now, for a couple of years. Ive been told many times its most likely a loose ground wire. I dont know if its common, but i got it. Took it to the stealership, had it fixed once for free, and it came back about 6 months later. Been too lazy to bother with it, once the weather warms i may take another look. But same here, radio goes crazy, wont eject cds, or display goes out, one speed for wiper blades, cant adjust the air/heat. If you able to, shut off the car and let the interior lights go out, the start it back it up, that fixes it 90 percent of the time.

 

hmm yea maybe check if all those functions go to the same fuse panel (hopefully that's the case). sounds like a loose wire to me

 

Thanks for the ground info, might have to take look around. Nothing from the radio or controls, but the washer pump, and sunroof not opening to the first stop are the big ones. The DRL's I could care less about as I run my fogs most of the time because it looks really nice. If I find a ground somewhere I'll let you know. But I'll keep checking in case someone has fixed it themselves once. Need to get my hands on wire diagrams.
