Really Annoying Problem

When crusing in any gear if I suddenly take my foot off the gas my car jolts HARD for a second or 2 unless I VERY slowly ease it off. Its bad even for a split second inbetween shifts. The cars been doing this for 9 months now and hasn't thrown a code. I thought it might have been a bad throttle body assembly, but it wasn't. I was thinking a bad signal from a sensor, but everything looks ok on my intercepter. Anyone have this problem before?

Yea but not this bad. It wasn't like until I was beating on her HARD last summer. Compression and leak down both good. If you were in the car you would feel it.

Deceleration Fuel Cutoff? What sensors are involved? Its crazy because my wife won't ride in my car anymore because it got so bad. Sometimes it so bad it feels like its going to eject you LOL!

yea, that's how the car is. simple solution, you already said it. ease off the throttle, and ease into the throttle. it's like a clunk right, if you're cruising and take it off, it clunks. but doesn't do it when you ease off.

What's the reason that is in place though? Interesting little thing that is. Also, what would it be like without that system in place?

I know what your talking about D4u2s0t, amplify that by 10. Almost feels like the engine is going to snap all the mounts at times.

well maybe it's because you have the engine mount. if you have the engine mount plus tranny mounts, you may feel it less. the engine is trying to move, the solid mount isn't letting it, and all that energy is being transferred through the transmission which is probably making it feel worse.

Don't think its that mount because its been installed since 05. Iam looking into this Deceleration Fuel Cutoff tho.

its suppposed to do that, and yes you can disable DCFO but its there to save gas when theres no load or need for gas in the motor
