Rear defogger overheating?
Rear defogger overheating?
I have been having a smell inside the Balt lately. It kinda smells like a fried circuit board or burnt up electronics. It would be intermittent and only in the morning. Finally I figured that it might be the defogger so I turned it on and within a minute there's the smell. Anyone else experience this or know how to fix it?
Yeah it should only get warm, not hot enough to smell like it's cooking something.
Check the control panel as suggested, then pull your right side footwell fusebox panel and make sure the right load rating fuse is in the defroster circuit, it's possible it blew and got replaced with a bigger one and is now melting things in the circuit, seen it happen before.
