Rear Starwheel Adjuster Issue

Hey all, was attempting to take off my rear drum which just made sounds of death when driving home to see wtf is up, and I cannot get the drum off itself! I have released the ebrake, and am attempting to spin the starwheel adjuster so I can loosen the pads to get it off, and i just cant seem to turn it! Am I missing something like a latch / anything else that is holding it in place?

I changed my rear brakes about 2 months ago and they were a bitch to get the drums off. It took me longer to get them off than it did to actually change the brakes. I just kept hitting it with a hammer and wedging a flat-head between the drum and the backing plate, until they popped loose.

I guess I could always do that.. Never one to actually just bash on things when I know there is a proper way, but ****, if the thing wont budge, bash bash bash I guess.

PB blaster around where the drum meets the wheel hub and a BFH have always served me well.

If you adjusted the shoes too tight and tried putting the drum on, it'll be a total PITA to get off.

unfortunetly for me, I just dont have the tools necessary (jacks big enough to get it up) for me to BFH it off. had to end up takin it into a shop, just couldnt get enough leverage to smack it off.

Thank you all for your thoughts on how to help.
