Your driver's side weatherstripping may be pinched funny or come loose.

Also check to make sure your window is up all the way.

Mine does the same thing. I think it's got something to do with my weather stripping...at least that's what my boyfriend said when he drove it. Nothing to do with the tires, it's all the weather stripping, at least mine is anyhow.

First off just make sure it all looks good and that it's straight. There are ways they can check for leaks for you at the dealership as well, if you don't want to deal with it.

Or you can do what they do on all the TV car shows, and put a dollar bill in the jamb and shut the car door. Then with the window down try to wiggle it up and down along the weatherstripping. I don't know if it really works and there are defintely better ways to test for leaks with smoke and stuff, but it's real simple.

It could be the weatherstripping, and it could also be the alignment of your door. So it seems like the whole thing isn't closing correctly, or does it seem like the sound is just coming from one spot?

A leak would cause your ears to pop because it's allowing pressure waves to occur; it's just like when your window is cracked and the same thing happens, until you either close the window or completely open the window or maybe both to allow pressure equalization.

Edit: You should take it to the dealership.

Like the G6, our mirrors cause alot of wind noise. I noticed this in my bro's car(G6) and when I purchased mine. Anytime you get above 60 when I start to hear it and increases with speed. It's even worse with the radio off, just turn up the music.
If your ears are poping then you might have an leak somewhere. Unless you are changeing altitude and/or opening or closeing the windows or sun roof, then it's normal.
