haha I thought i was the only one to. But apparently some ppl are having the problem to.

Did the new flash make the car any slower/faster, harder/not as hard on gas? or did it simply fix the problem.

I can live with the prob if the new flash is harder on gas or slower accelerating. But if not, its kind of annoying the little problem

if you havent had a flash done in the last month take it in. trust me on this one

im going to go dig up the proof for you.

yea I remember all that about the new flash fixing the prior stage 2 reflash.. I was all worried I might get the wrong one when I went for installation.. So I got it installed like a week or more after that thread came out and pointed out to the dealership about the new flash and they said I would get the newest one because the computer tells them the most recent.. and I checked it on that site from the GM Update thread and from my vin number it said I had the newest ones, The gap however was really off from what I used to have it at and I dont know if they messed with it or it regapped itself but when I fixed it, it drove a lot better but still not perfect... I miss having a smooth ride!

no those are the CEL codes that you may get as a result of the problem that these flashes fix.

the flash codes are the highlighted numbers in that screenshot above.

2 questions:

Will the flash fix the skipping problem on the 2.4L or does it only fix it on the supercharged Cobalts?

Is this considered warranty work? Like when I take it in, do I have to pay for it?

I just found this site for identifying the updates for the PCM. Just enter your VIN and all set.
