i was taking off from a light and it felt like it put itself in neutral. i turned into the first parking lot and the car doesnt move now. it has g85 its a 2007 lsj. what u guys think? it goes into every gear fine but theirs a whirring sound that got louder with each gear

 

Look at the axle boots - anything ripped or obviously destroyed? When mine broke it was fairly obvious, and the car made a grinding sound when I let the clutch out.

 

easiest way to tell is to jack the car up, put it in gear hold the brakes and let the clutch out, see what turns and what doesnt. simplest way to spot a broken axle. if nothing is turning then its something inside the transmission, or the clutch itself.

 

im so relieved it is only a broken axle...... the transmission on my f150 blew up a month ago so i was soooo shitting my pants about this.. was about to go spend 15 grand on another car... but god bless america, the axle spins but only the inner portion lol idk what to say. im so happy lmao

 

15 grand can buy a lot of F35's.

i wouldnt of gotten rid of the car.. i would fix it if i blew the trans, but the supercharged balt is my daily driver n i cant have it hanging up for more then a day til its not winter and can drive my turbo cobalt. id rather spend 15 grand on another car then wreck this one driving it in winter lol
