Just bought a 2010 SS/TC and just today noticed a rattling sound from my door panel. Only had the car 5 days now and this is the first day I have noticed it. It sounds like a clunk of metal or some type of spring is vibrating. It happens sometimes on its own when im driving normal, but it does it HEAVILY whenever I am on the freeway (due to some dips in the freeway streets) I purposely was running over the little bumps on the road and you could hear the "spring" type noise every time I hit those bumps.

Only thing I can think of is, I just plugged in my iphone through the USB ( used AUX before today) and the BASS was all the way up ( not realizing the settings)

Maybe its a blown speaker coil? its pretty annoying now and completely sucks that I only had this car for less than a week and its making that noise.

Mine does this occasionally too but it's never bothered me enough to go searching for the source. Kinda interested to know what it may be though

It's probably the outside door handle rattling. Try some foam tape on the backside of the handle where it makes contact with the door. Mine was loose and rattling too. No more rattling anymore.

If I read correctly, put the tape on the handle that DOES NOT spring open right? like driver door on the left of the handle where it does move. Sorry if this all sounds confusing lol

 

Outside door handle, your car should still have the warrenty, they should be able to fix it for free

Oh by the way probaly door handle inside door mine did it as well fixed lasted a month then learned to roll down windows and turn music up

 

My 08 did that when I got it. Sounded like a spring inside the drivers door vibrating and rubbing something. Took it back to the dealer and they took care of it. It's been so long I can't remember what it was. I want to say clutch pedal return spring but that could be as easily wrong as right. It's been a few years. Whatever it was, they only had it half an hour and it's never done it since.
