SS SC Running Issue-Strange Problem

I have a 2006 SS Supercharged with the GM Stage 2, airbox mod, and a GMPP catback. Heres my problem-when I get on the throttle hard over a period of time (like screwing around on back roads) my car will start to have a fit. Every time I step on the gas, (like for shifting) it will hesitate for a split second and then go. But as soon as you restart the car it stops doing it. But the problem will come back again when I get on it hard. I had the Stage 2 reflash updated but that didn't seem to do much. Anybody else have this issue or know what is causing it?

I had this problem once when I got on it real hard. I thought I had done something to the clutch but it wasn't. the only thing I could think that may have caused this was that the computer may have detected "drive train abuse" and kicked the car into a lower power state. This of course is only a guess. I never threw any codes or anything else so I have no idea.

It seems like if you do anything to these cars, you get weird spikes in power and what not.
Basicaly if you have anything other than stage 2 done, you need a tune.

Sounds MAF related. Check sensor, connection, piping and clamps for leaks.

I should mention that it only really starts doing it after a certain amount of time. It is not an immedeaite thing. Like if you go down the dragstrip a couple times in a row without shutting the engine off. But once you turn it off and reastart the car it goes away for a while.

could be the engine pulling timing due to high IAT2 temps....

This just started happening to me last week. Intermitenly when shifting at high rpms the second I engage gear a give it gas a HUGE drop in power for a second then back to normal. Shutting the the car off then restarting seems to help.

Your injectors could be going static....maybe. It seems a little far fetched. I noticed my car behaving very badly after my first night with at the track. After it cooled down over night it was better...for the most part.

i get this too once in a while,
i am convinced it has soemthing to do with an aftermarket intake or a modded stock intake, i never had this issue until i put on my intake, and all the connections are on tight as can be, no leaks, the point is that CT got it right, anything more than stage 2, you pretty much lookin at a custom tune.
once the car is off or cools down, it gets better, but rip into the high rpms again, then shift normally or stomp on it in second, yer back to the same ****, tuning is key, my 2 cents...
