Tom is the gm part you stock been improved. Love doing business with you but i don't want to replace it with another one that will do the same thing. I guess dorman redesigned it and took the plastic piece out.

I don't think it's the intermediate shaft from what I've seen on videos with people having problems with it. I don't have those symptoms. My steering just vibrates after I've been driving awhile. It will be fine then I get on the highway and it's fine I get off and drive in town then it starts to do the wobble. Now today I thought I heard a sound kind of like a bad wheel bearing. So I'm gonna check it out after work. My question is- would a bad wheel bearing cause the wobble? Because it doesn't happen until I've been driving awhile.

Has anyone found out the solution here? I have a 2.2 car with ~110k and it shimmies like a bitch when accelerating and braking. Practically new(less than 10k) EBC rotors and pads so I know it isn't rotors. Tires are balanced.

Did you check the things mentioned? Control arm bushings and axles are the normal culprits in this problem, could also be the steering shaft that CED posted a link to but that's less common than the other failures.

I think I figured it out. I have a piston in my Brembo caliper that is sticky it doesn't always want to release. I checked everything else so I double checked the brakes. I just order the Brembo rebuild kit from CED. My brother in law who is a gm certified tech helped confirm this. Were both positive that it's the cause
