stock headlight lighting problem

so i noticed when i was leaving my buddies house like 20 min ago that my left headlight doesn't work ...well to an extent..because when i go on high beams it turns on..only when its just regular beam that it doesn't come on..so obviously a electrical issue and not the bulb ..any one have any ideas?

Check the low beam fuse. There's two separate fuses for both high beam and low beam.

what number fuse i'll actually go check it right now..the fuses if they go out haev a line taht goes through the middle on the top saying its out or w/e right

I'm not sure, just pull out your manual and look it up in the engine bay fuse box.

k i went out and checked..didn't see any thing wrong with it..but weird thing is that i just learned! = when you push the button on the key to unlock the doors...it will come on but once you open the door or manually put on the lights it will not come on..push the button it will come on so like seriously WTF lol

unlock light uses highbeams, not low

at least mine does. never know these days.

pretty sure its the bulb. 9007 bulbs are dual filament. the low beam filament is probably fried.

Yes, this seems to be very common in the Cobalts, the headlights are dual filament and the low beam one went out. Just go buy a new bulb and you should be golden

well they're after market bulbs but i got a spare one sitting ni my room because i had to buy a new set of 2 because some guy hit my headlight and it smashed over night i'll try that out..when it stops raining!!!!!!!!! although that could be for like a week lol

i have gone through 3 pairs of lights 30$ 50$ and 90$ what is the deal.. If i get hids would it still burn out
