I noticed a while back when I turned off my car the tacs jumped lil speratically. Then today they same thing they rose, drop, rose, drop. Anyone else had this problem? This is on the 06 LS 2.2 automatic.


Have alost noticed it seem to idel funny at stop lights, almost like it wanted to stall!!!???

 

when i push the revs to about 3k, then let off the gas really fast, sometimes the engine jumps 400 more rpms before starting to drop

 

Yeah, just last night, when I hold the clutch-in ( I have 5-speed ) to start my car, the rpm revs up in down, to about 1100 down to 800 and back up again, just for a few seconds, then levels at just under 1k.. its wierd..

 

i haven't watched the tach but i have heard the engine revs similar to what you guys discribe. i would assume it's normal.

 

I hope so. Cause if it isnt........... thats gunna suck.

that happened to me too, jsut chillin in my car with it off and i noticed the tac and speedo bouncin a bit??? wierd.

 

when im in neutral and i rev the engine above 3000 it comes back to about 1500 and sits for about 1 second then drops back to like 7 or 800

 

mine does that when I take the key out and wait a minute. just before the time turns off on the radeo, the gages shimmer a little. not sure why

 

i notice it jumpin around if i start it in gear(5-speed, duh), but not so much if im in neutral.

 

its because of the throttle by wire system, the tac is a little delayed. you will also notice that you actually hit redline before the tac says so


thats normal for when a car starts up, dont worry

 

Yes. I've had this problem on our 2.2LS auto as well. With the car off, if you're fiddling with the cd player, like, say, changing cd's or something, it will jump around a little bit. I had it happen once in my in-law's Impala SS too, but i'm still not comfortable with it.

 

everyime when i shut her down it jumps for about 30 45 secinds then it stops my friends dose the same no problem at all just a little bug or something jsut tell people you ruun at 30 psi and it is trying to wind down ahhaahah
