Time for a new Water Pump?

I've been losing coolant like crazy, and in hopes that it wasn't a bad hg, I checked the water pump....

I saw what looked like the remnants of a wet spot on the water pump cover. The spot was starting to dry up, but its been there every time I've checked since.

Just to be sure I'm not talking out my ass, this is where I saw the wet spot...

If Ure water pumpp was bad you would have water leaking from the back the seapage. Hole oryou would have it in Ure oil. Thats just a cover

what about the seal? I saw a post on here where someone mentioned a bad seal, but didnt really elaborate much....if the seal was bad could i be losing substantial amounts of coolant through the gap between the seal and the cover?

the seal should be on the backside of the water pump area, connecting to the coolant crossover pipe
