Weird 4th gear speed limiter problem?
So, heres an interesting problem. Out at the road course today. Car runs fine thru 1-2-3, all the way to redline, makes boost, etc. Go into 4th gear, car will go to 5k rpm / 85mph then its like it hits a speed limiter. go to 5th gear, it will get to 4500 rpm and 105mph but no more.
Already did a boost leak / vaccum leak check
Put new plugs, and a spare coil pack and ign module in tonight when I got home
Reflashed my trifecta ( I have an o6 L61, so sadly thats my only option) tune on the ECM.
Nothing makes a change. This is really bizarre and i can't make heads or tails of it. anyone have ideas?

While you could possibly be out of fuel as Vaughn mentioned, the E67 used with the L61, has the ability to limit torque vs rpm vs gear, even with a manual trans. So in other words, any gear could be limited to any rpm as desired. Granted this is a trifecta tuned vehicle, so god knows how it's setup. Either way, I'm going with either fueling, or torque limiting in the tuning acting as a rpm/speed limiter.

gapped the plugs down a bit and put v4 of the tune on, its a bit better. still limiting out. Whats the best program to use to try and post data logs? I have a trifecta black box cable. but i know you cant view the logs in easy flash
HP tuners scanner should be good even if no tuning support you can still log it. Find someone with HP tuners and data log the issue. Post screenshots of the graph showing the issue.

Turned out to be the L61's overly sensitive knock sensor and a conservative tune. To make power looks like i will have to keep the knock sensor unplugged. :-\ is there any aftermarket setups for those?
Be careful if that is real knock it is picking up and you run with it unplugged you can kiss your motor goodbye. I wax right though knock safety rev limit.
