Driving encompasses all vehicles and to tell someone they need to learn how to drive is quite foolish considering they may have experience driving a vehicle you've never even sat in.....
I have a Class A and have driven just about everything from a '74 Mack roll-off to a '98 Freightliner. My '96 Ranger was sold with 176,000+mi on it and it still had the original clutch in it. My '03 suffered a failed slave cylinder at 15,000mi which sprayed hydraulic fluid into the clutch (bye-bye) and when the POS Mazda recycled beer can trans fragged on me at 150,000+mi I was pissed I had to replace the clutch that still had a good 30,000 - 40,000mi left on it... I am the type of driver that gets 70-80,000mi out of a set of tires (although these Rossos ain't gonna see but ˝ that) and 40-50,000mi out of a set of brakes. I get a little peeved when people tell me I need to learn to drive...

Ok, enough arguing already.

I'm tired of it.

Here's a thread that I just posted regarding something that happened to me at work this morning.

I think it will bring a smile to everyone's face ...

I have had two ss/sc's now- the first one was Victory red with no G85 package. This car used to slip the clutch constantly. That being said I used to beat the **** out of that car when I first got it and I contribute this to part of the reason the clutch used to fail on me constantly.

I traded that in for another 05' Chevy could not sell. I bought the car in 07' the car was an 05' sunburst orange with 900 miles on it. The car was a GEM sitting on the used lot with a price tag of $14,000. Couldn't resist. Did I mention G85! The stupid dealer had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned this. He showed me all sorts of Cobalt SS/SC's and all of them he said had Recaros - (they just had the standard leather).

Point of the story: I have babied the sunburst orange 05' except when I am out beating on it which is every once in a while and I have never had the clutch slip once. It has stage 2, Falken 615's, short throw, custom local tune, 60's , and meth. Never have any issues. The red 05 that slipped all the time had nothing done to it-

Given this experience I have to blame both the shitty clutch and driver abuse- because I do baby the new cobalt to ensure the clutch doesnt start slipping - NO BURNOUTs!!!!
