they make them in bigger sizes as well

Sweet, you think Amazon would carry this?
You'd be surprised about the weather man. I don't get the same weather as Jonesboro 50 miles away. The Delta area is weird dude. I've lived in Russellville and Jonesboro and the weather variation never even compared to here.

We get Hard rain here too. My car looks like it was painted in leopard print after a ten minute shower yesterday.

you could be correct here. but i still think your issues are the poor products being combined with sun drying rain.

I think your issues are you being a jerk. joking man
What wax do you use and how long does that last you? I haven't found a good one yet that holds up for more than a month. Keep in mind my piece sits outside.

your paint needs proper prep, then finishing. invest in a PC and some compunds, polishes, and whatever sealant/wax you feel suits you best. youll never regret it.

Here's my routine.
Wash, dry, Clay bar, Polish, Eagle One Nano-wax, Detailer, tire shine.
I skip compounding because I don't have a garage to work out of, By the time I'd finish, My car is covered in dust and airborne particulates (big enough to mar clearcoat during waxing sometimes). I've had to stop waxing before to REpolish the side of the car I hadn't started yet.

No machine tools, All of this is by Hand. The wax will hold up shy of two months about a week and a half.

well i sympathize with you there, but to get the real results you need to be able to do the steps talked about. like i said the products and water drying on the paint are doing it in.

research and trial and error....but rule of thumb start with least aggressive and work toward more aggressive...

like start with white and compound if that doesnt work then go orange and compound....

and speed is also just a research trial and error thing....and it becomes what you are comfortable with

here you go alot of good info....late pg.2 early pg.3

Ok, about a year ago I was a rookie with the PC. I just bought that and some orange pads (which is what most people use). I immediately started using it on my 2008 black H3 that was about 6 months old and had a couple scratches on the door (from the wife's rings). It wasn't a problem at all.

Unless you actually are holding the PC in one spot for more than 5 seconds or so, you're not going to damage your paint. My 2009 Pontiac G5 GT that I purchased in December had a couple of small scratches on it when I picked it up (brand new) so with like 200 miles on it I was out in the garage using the PC lol.

I also had a 1997 Cavalier that had tons of serious scratches in it (was my dad's) and I spent all day using the PC on that SOB. It shined like it never shined before and it took out a ton of scratches. Of course I bought a green pad (a little more aggressive) for that.

I use Zaino PC found at www.zainostore.com... lol I know you're a Zaino fan. I use the Zaino PC with an orange pad most of the time.

Also, here is a link to a page telling you what colors of pads to use. I buy all of my pads from autogeek.net and they also have a coupon code (corvetteforum) for 5% off.

I hope this helps.

Pads.

P.S. One last thing. A couple of months ago I was playing around looking for more videos on how to use it and all I did was type in PC 7424 into the search thing on youtube and I found probably 10-15 detailed videos showing you how to use it.

Thanks for the info. All of the companies I've seen seem to follow the same rule, but sure, there are probably variances.

Meg. Quick Detailer aswell here along with their waxs and washes. Last time I waxed my car was probably 7 months ago(very slack) but my car still looks great and beads up when water hits it like its been waxed recently. I do plan to wax it soon(HIN around the corner) and than try to do a wax every couple months atleast, just work is crazy and I barely have the energy to clean it, though I manage too weekly.
