The Best wax I have used which brings back the shine is Turtle Wax Ice, the paste not the liquid wax.

If you're talking about the non-painted plastic, I use Mothers back to black for plastic. Seems to make it a shade darker too.

Use some sort of plastic protectant and a little elbow grease should do the trick for you.

I just clean it with a damp cloth. Back to Black attracts dust like CRAZY, and you will have to scrub it pretty good with soap and water just to get the dust off.

the best way to keep the white off is to not get wax on it the wax soaks into the plastic, and is a BITCH to get off. many products will "hide" the white, so you have to keep putting the product on to hide it.

Best Product I have found is (AERO) Protector removes wax build-up & is a Vinyl, Leather & Rubber dressing 1 bottle has lasted me 1 1/2 years now. I put it on Slackers car at Nopi Nationals in sep, 07 & seen him at the regionals here in West palm in 2 months ago & It was still black. He said he didn't have to do anything to them since I treated them besides be more careful with the wax!
Plus side is you can use it on all parts in our cars & it is anti-static so it repells dust. It's made for the airplane industry.
I get it from janitoral supply stores here local but I am sure you could find it on the web!
Distributed by Aero chemical company a division of ABC compounding out of atlanta & Dallas

I found some plastic renewer at a local auto store. it's made by autotech I believe, **** works MIRACLES. It cleans the wax and build up out of the plastic and makes it look brand new. It doesn't just coat more **** on top, so it is so much better for the plastic itself. I've tried armor all, not a fan of the color when it wears off, it seems worse than before. AUTOTECH plastic vinyl restorer, i'll check for the exact name when i get home

I wouldn't use Armor All or any other petroleum based spray. After a few uses it will discolor the black plastic and make it get lighter/turn white. I use this Meguiar's interior plastic detailer. It doesn't last as long as back to black, but it works.

glass cleaner will sometimes work depending on how much is on there and how long its been there....any kind of glass cleaner at the auto parts store and a stiff brush like a cut paint brush or something..thats what i used at the detail shop when i worked there especially on jeep wranglers...you'd buff them out and polish would be splattered all over the fender flares..i hate jeeps lol

I've tried everything from a variety of tire spray/foam dressings, Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber Conditioner, Mother's Back to Black, 303 Aerospace. They all work well, some better at cleaning, others at restoring colour, with varying durability.

The best one I've tried so far is called "Black Wow", by OctaneGuy from the Autopia forums.

Apparently it has good durability. I can't comment on experience, as I've applied on a couple of family cars for only 2 weeks, but I will say this: it cleaned old wax and restored the colour of the trim on my old Passat better than anything I've personally used. I will apply some to my Cobalt tonight and post pics, maybe with some 50/50 shots.

Another vote for back to black.

Peanut butter also works. However, gotta watch out for racoons and other critters lol.

Old school trick. The oil gets the white residue off. I had to use it on my s10 handles last minute when I was out of Back to Black.
