Paint fading WTF

So the other day I noticed brown spots, as if brown spray paint was applied to the car under the the trunk. Though I thought that was pretty cheap of GM/CHEVY to do; I really didn't care since it was under the trunk.

After a quick walk around, I noticed that on the hood of my car, these paint imperfections (brown spots) were beginning to appear in the creaveses on the sides of the hood. Once again, not noticable until closely inspected.

So wtf, $24,000 and I get a shitty paint job? As you all may know, and can see from my pictures. I take extremely good care of my paint, using products that contain no abraisives WHAT SO EVER. Not to be hypocritical, the pictures below, though contain water spots... unfortunately black cars only stay black for a day or two after wash

Any input on this guys? The dealership is gonna hear from me pretty soon... I want this fixed pronto.

Screw that... It could be a 10,000 car; if a company wants to be reputable, they better paint the damn car right!

Don't get me wrong, this car is a blast to own. I just can't stand see to how much hard work, and countless hours detailing it go to **** all because of a poor paint job.

well, your right, in that the paint certainly shouldn't be fading and having discoloration, especially within the first couple years of ownership!!

What i was refering to was the quality of the actual paint job, such as orange peel and etc..

I wonder if clay barring the car may get rid of the spots?

If polished and waxed from the start, none of that should happen. I just bought the car in May of 07, asa birthday present to myself. It's just a bad paint job...

no; unless you bottom out and scrape. If you keep it waxed, the paint should last the life of the car.

yea its covered paints the one thing they are pretty good about. as for the swirls, u might have to go to a detailer

"CORROSION PROTECTION
Chevrolet vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion.
All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first).
Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your Chevrolet dealer for terms of this limited warranty.
"

deosnt say anything about fading on their site but im pretty sure its protected.
