That sucks that the damage is that bad though. Trust me, I know the "I wanna quit" feeling all too well. Wasn't due to the motor, but it was due to two destroyed turbos totalling over $2000.
Hang in there. Maven's got a spare head for you for cheap. You'll get it back up soon enough. Just learn from it... next time don't drive it when you have a pretty good idea something isn't right.

Take some pictures of the piston, if you don't mind. You should be able to order just one piston from Wiseco, obviously at a discount. I would make that mechanic buy your new head, new piston, and cost of swapping over valvesprings (if those are still ok).
Keep me updated on what's going on, you know I would be more than glad to lend a hand. I'm sure Al would come back out as well.

Haha... gee thanks guys. I figured he flushed it... I was just wondering why he switched to the green stuff. "Built motor" is not a reason. We have plenty of built motors in our crew, and every single one of them runs DexCool.

i hope it does. supertech is now saying that they wanna see the valves so i gotta send the pics but he said they should replace them for me
man that looks nasty, is your head salvagable? only looked at pics and OP, so yeah...let me know if you need a head, i might have one tommorow, i was planning on a good port and polish but id be willin to sell it
Wow man, that sucks bad. You need to measure the #4 pistons protrusion/recess to the deck, as bad as that hit you may have tweaked a pin or rod. (it looks lower than #1 in the pic, a bad sign)
