I don't think this thread is about views. It's about the actual rules of the site. Read the first post again. Not trying to be an ass... just saying. It's about the rules, not the views.

The rules say nothing about political statements in the signatures. It says no political threads. I'm more than willing to discuss my political views with anyone that wants to discuss them. Send me a PM. Just be warned the chances of you changing my mind is slim to none...

I'm not trying to start a fight in here or change anyone's mind. No one said that the rules prohibit politics in the sig.

This thread is about changing the rules to INCLUDE signatures. Nothing else. Not views, not the coverage of the current rule. I don't want to debate you. I don't want to debate anyone. I just want the BS to stop... from both sides.

I don't have issues I was just giving you my opinion. You have no problem giving anyone else yours. Lets leave it at that.

 

I have no problems with it. I'm not gonna start fights if someone has and Obama symbol in their avatar (there are a few people who have it on here) or an Obama statement in their sig or whatever. Do I like that they are there? No. Will I ever refer to him as "President Obama?" No. Will i start fights about it? No. Just leave it be. If you hate it so much go into your personal settings and uncheck the box that says view signatures...

 

It was off topic in here. And if you're talking about me and Alicia, I gave her my response to what was in her signature. Seems reasonable. The OP acknowledges that only political discussions have been banned. He is just suggesting that this be EXTENDED to include signatures.

I don't think that ALL political sigs should be banned under his proposed rules. Only the distasteful, untrue, and obviously ignorant ones. Such as the "Keep Islam out of the White House"

Personally I believe that nothing should be censored on the site, but if discussions about a particular topic are banned for a particular reason, so should sigs for that same particular reason.
