Words like "impartial" and " polite" and " good judgement" come to mind to fix the root cause which is not paying attention to business with good ethics and best practices.

swinging the ban hammer has not worked. Not enough mods, ot enough communication, well all those things have been well explained to you many times. Now you are paying attention. Its hard.

Any sire run properly has to understand that it is not a popularity contest; your well intentioned public discussion of mod candidates is doomed to fail. Communicate with some trusted folks. You may have some left.

but the problem is, you already blew off some of the finest folks here - like B rad, like Maven, Jimbo, etc and it appears you banned others before them.

and you caved into to one of your vendors at the expense of other vendors.

I am not sure how you can extricate yourself from this mess , but I wish you the best. Your community is voting with their feet, and you banned the rest.
