sounds good. Sorry your gonna deploy before the meet Self. I would appreciate it if any of yall SRT4 owners would kindly go to any srt4 forums and mention the meet and let me know on how many people would be interested in going would be appreciated thank you. This Friday I'm gonna take a ride up to New Braunfels and talk to the park management and see what we need to do to have a meet in the park.

Hey I posted some interest over on the Redline forums. What I would like to see (and have no problem contributing to) is something more than just everyone showing up, seeing faces and leaving. How about if any one has any affiliation (like work there or something) with auto shops, restaurants, electronics stores, hell any chain store that has some kind of gift certificate, see if they can donate something for door prizes, awards, or parting gifts, know what I mean. I know these things can't just happen and are not easy to pull together but even if a couple of us put in for a few big prizes and we charge for a raffle ticket to cover it that would be cool. Anything collected as profit could go to the next meet or something beneficial to all. I'd be willing to buy something altogether out of pocket if I knew people would be interested in a raffle. We can make this big and it has potential to grow every time we meet, yearly or whenever. It can be an annual Texas domestic bash.
Hell we are in Texas, lets try and do this big. WHO'S WITH ME

Am I just pipe dreaming or rambling on...

I'm curious about this meet too! Is this going to be a meet where people show up, meet each other, and then leave?

Mid March early April would be a great idea weather would be more predictable. This being Texas it is hard to say what it's going to be. But I would go down at whatever time.

This is what I was thinking everyone is giving good ideas and informing other forums and I appreciate it. raffles would be good also, to get people to stay. Plus we can give out awards for best srt4, cobalt, redlines, and any other domestic car. we can have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trophies. What would yall think of having the show at a racetrack? Possibly at San Antonio Raceway if not we will stick with somewhere in New Braunfels. It would be nice to have it at the track so if anyone wants to race well theres the track. I also think we should hold on with the date until we get more organized.

I think we should have a small get together at landa park to brainstorm and put our ideas together and talk to park management and multiple businesses in the area and see if anyone would want to host us. So who would want to go to this pre-meet and plan for the Texas Size Domestic Sports Compact Show. Hey that sounds pretty good. lol I say we have this pre-meet on Feb 11th at noon we will meet in Landa Park and plan from there.

I vote we meet at Landa Park, hang around until everyone arrives/gets aquainted and then we all take a drive out on River Road towards Canyon Lake. Maybe find another spot out that way to hang out and have some refreshments. Then we could discuss how serious we are about doing something bigger in the future. If you've never driven along the Guadalupe, it is really beautiful and I think it would be worth the trip for anyone coming from out of town. This is a good time of year to do that drive because the water is too cold for tubing right now so traffic should be pretty light. Just a suggestion!

Okay I made contact with the track and the owner is suppose to give me a call back. What I need to know is this, Are we basically just wanting a lockout where we still have to pay for the track runs if we want? or do we want a complete rental so we can run for free? The last one I can guarantee is going to cost a lot more. Also need an approximate number of people, I think between 50 and 100. Well hopefully. Also I am telling him it will probably be the end of March or beginning of April, but basically just trying to get a price quote. Alright well just list some other opinions cause I definately wont be able to go to the pre meet on the 11th.

alright lets have the meet for Feb 25th. We can rent a pavillion so we can BBQ or something. They have different pavillions from 30-40people which is 55 bucks and then 60-80 for 110 bucks. I'm kinda hoping if people could help out with some cash. I'm gonna cruise up to Landa Park today and talk to park admin about the meet. Here is my email if anyone wants to contact me dragonsfire12345@yahoo.com. Please email me so I can get a number of people that are going thank you.

Got the phone call from the track owner.

1: it is a $500 deposit straight up
2: each person will also have to pay between 20-50 dollars

he mentioned that we could probably get a sponsor to pay the 500 dollars. also we will have actually races on the track. We will get time slips and everything. Date Available would be April 8th and March 18th. Time will be around 9-930am to about 2pm. If you have any other questions about this please post or send me a pm.
