I hear all this talk about how much faster the new GTs are than the new Camaros, but the facts are facts, i've lined up with multiple ones and its the same result, some of the best races of my life... which for me is a good thing, brcause I should be getting "walked"... in fact, I STILL have a winning record against them... drove all the way to Mississippi tonight to meet up with the local group, this race has been planned for months...

got on that today, friend of mine is a salesman at the local GM dealership, trying to get him to get me the hookup on them... Pace Performance has them for $219 but you have to call to order, can't place an order on the site... so i'm going to get a quote from my friend tomorrow, if its in the ball park will order from them... still will have to buy the Lingenfelter gear kit which is another $200... then probably $300 or so to have them put on... then i'll have to baby the car for 500 miles or so to break them in... probably around 1000 miles before I put slicks to them... that will be hard to do, lol

he's at Jim Bishop Chevrolet and drives a new 5.0, dont worry already smoked him, lol(he worked at Ford on a lesser role and just moved to the Chevrolet dealership last fall)... but I just need parts, got an installer, lol
Looked like ya'll really didn't go but till what 110 ish? Looked like the GT was also starting to reel you back in? Imho after dealing with them for awhile not on the camaro vs gt debate I have always found the camaro has a better mid range in the lower speeds vs the GT but were all my buddies start to pull on the Camaros local is after 110. Hell if you didn't atleast get up to 115 you didn't even get close to what a bolt on GT traps in the quarter.
I love both cars I just have found it after watching countless local battles that the GTs on the track and off seem to be the stronger car. But every car is different you might just have a factory freak.

the GTs are definitely stronger up top, no doubt about it, luckily 1/8th mile is king here...

also not going to s/c it... after a long debate, its getting a 125 shot, lol... just too damn effective for the money... blower gains for $1500

Long story short on my new TD06 and meth setup..
Loggin the car on I65 headed to BNR. and as i drop down to 3rd at 70ish for a WOT pull for the log.
A Camaro SS and Evo9 "Try" to pass me before i spool. lol
Full Spool about 5k and then both cars are Buses behind me lol. They each tried 3 times and failed..
Both owners / Drivers was respectful after words and all they could say is. "Thats Bad Ass!" lol

finally got to run a tuned LNF, met this guy on the facebook racing group about a week ago, he just bought the car like 2 months ago, Vince did tune his car for the previous owner(he emailed Vince his VIN to see if he had)... has a downpipe, cai, intercooler and 23psi tune... I gave him a race from 40 because I knew it would be the best race, I've always wondered how my Camaro stacks up against one from 40, he missed a gear the 1st pull... I feel pretty good because there is a video on youtube of him door to door with a cammed LS1 from 40, lol:

I never ran the Cobalt from a dig, he didn't want to... it wouldn't have been good, I was just interested in how i'd do from 40, I even told everyone there "if this Cobalt beats me, don't laugh, yall remember when I used to bring mine out here and bust Camaro ass".... lol

you better hurry mine isn't about to get any slower... 3.91 gears and ET Streets on the stock wheels... already got Vince to shoot me an updated transmission tune(haven't loaded it yet obviously) for the gears... my car is HPtuned, but because you can now separate Transmission and Engine tunes with his software, I still load his 6L80e tune, its a bad ass transmission tune while running the engine tune I got from Tyler Downs at Unlawful Performance...
was going to save up for the TVS1900... nah, i'm going to utilize this engine for what LS based engines do best... hold nitrous
only thing I really need to change for safe keepings is to replace the AFM L99 lifters with conventional LS7 lifters, can get the whole set for $175... will work with the stock pushrods, etc... they "say" you don't even need to do it until your spray around a 175 shot and i'm going to stick with a 125.... but i'm going to do it right the 1st time
the weird thing is, when I want tyler to make updates with Hptuners, I have to go in and load the stock transmission tune, which unlocks the ECM... then Tyler can go in and make adjustments, then I reload Vince's transmission tune... HPtuners will NOT connect with the transmission tune loaded, its said the CIN or some **** between the transmission and engine do not match
but Tylers tune will stay even even after setting the transmission back to stock, it really is two settings... we've ran trials out of curiosity just to see
