well after today I doubt I'll be there. I get in my car today to go to work and first thing it does is says ice possible then it goes to engine power reduced. So I pull over and cut the car off and sit till the gauges do their thing then start back up. I get down town and it does it again only this time I'm at a redlight and then it dies and says engine disabled. I pull it in a parking lot and walk 45 minutes in the rain and cold to my house. We go back to get the car and it will start but keeps doing the same thing. I let the car warm up for 15 to 20 minutes each day and I usually end up getting that reduced power so I shut it down and restart it. It's never acted like this before tho. So I got to get the codes checked and see what the hell is going on. I done changed the spark plugs, front and rear 02 and changed the oil. If anything changes I'll let you all know.

Not sure. Still figuring this car out. Now I have a freaking ECM problem that is throwing codes. I have the P1681 code and the dealer wants 95 just to even look at it. The code is saying ECM program does not recognize the vehicles ID or the ID is missing in the ECM. It also threw a P2135 again, P0420 and P2101. The dealer said that it is more then likely the ECM is throwing the other codes cause it's not reading the sensors right. Any body got an idea on how to fix this without the dealer ripping me a new one?

 

I might ride up to bham from Meridian,MS. Not a bad drive for me about 2 hours but straight shot , which we have been making alot it seems here lately. If I do come if the weather isn't going to be nasty I will bring my buddy although he doesn't have a cobalt but a '11 5.0 Stang.

and tat2 it sounds like you need to do a crank relearn...I dont know how to do it but the Beck is not recognizing the car...like the numbers aren't matching...

 

And there is a problem as well. I know nothing really about tunning a computer. And I was hoping to get my 2.9 pulley after Christmas and get a tune done. This really blows...lol

I wasn't planning on it either. Just saying, Hondas + Cobalts + Mustangs = **** talking x 2 = Racing. Usually the way it goes. As long as no Camaros or Dodges don't show up it should be all good...lol. You get them mixed in you usually have racing and cops..lol

Yeah same here. We was going to Birmingham for Christmas. We was going to leave the 22nd but I moved it to the 18th so we could be there...lol. I Love going to meets. You know we going to have to get plenty of pics at this . I might just drop mine off at her mom's and come out...lol. Not sure yet cause I don't know the area all that well yet to be trying to go at it alone. Plus my buddy Cory is bringing his 09 T/C. I talked him into going as long as the dealership don't take forever on his brakes and clutch. If all that goes good He'll be rollin' with me. Wish there where more Cobalts up here that could come and we could all ride down together. Another friend of mine, his wife has a red Cobalt LS but I doubt they will want to come.
