Well until I get this ECM problem figured out I'm not running anyone. It went to reduced engine power again tonight and wouldn't stop. I make it about 30 feet and it comes back on. So I'm not sure what is going on with it but it's pissing me off.

I sent you my number and the codes that came up. The one code is saying that the program is missing from the ECM. I did have it reset after the 02 sensor was put in the other day. The dealership said that could've cause it and it would need to be reprogrammed. That would also throw up all the codes cause it's not reading the sensors right. If I'm able to I can try to get to Birmingham and we can take a look at it there if you can't make it up. I'll have Cory following me so if something does happen I won't be left out in the cold.

I plan on defending my honor as fastest Cobalt in the state, lol

nah, there is probably a faster Cobalt or two in this state...

if all goes well, hopefully not for too much longer though...

and why do I get the feeling that with the weather, if we plan on getting traction we better be doing some 60mph pulls, lol

because right now in Comp mode, i'm spinning at 50, lol

Well I don't know about in this state unless they are extremely modded out. So far I have only seen 3 SS's around town, mine, my buddy Cory and one other black one. Cory is the only one I know with a turbo. So I doubt there is too many that are modded heavy around the state. You can be the fastest in the state but hopefully after I get all these engine problems out of the way I plan to be the 2nd ...lol j/k.

yeah the guy with the turbo black SS and a 52 tag, he is in the local with me... but I've already put multiple cars on him.... lol

there is a Silver LSj here, but I think its stock... I beat it very badly, probably the fastest delta car i've seen here was a dark blue Ion Redline with texas plates(so not local), blower was loud as hell, but a chick was driving it... and from a dig, i put about 7 cars on her, lol... but I could tell it was a stout car when she'd got WOT from a roll, she was just in desperate need of a driver mod, and I wanted to be that guy to teach her, because she was hot as ****, lol

I beat you would. Well you can keep that fastest title cause all that means to me is more people trying to bring you down...lol. I'd be happy being 2nd or even 3rd for that matter just cause that way If I can whoop up on them then there is no need for you to even mess with em . I do that with Cory. His car is faster then mine without a doubt (for now). I line up first and if I beat them no need in him even running them lol. Depending on how badly they beat me depends on if he would even run em lol. I guess you say I'm the test dummy ehehehe. I'm like that tho, I will take one for the team if it helps someone else get ahead . First things first tho, got to get this damn thing running right then upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!! I'll be happy at 300 hp . BTW anyone here do that airbox mod to their car or do you just get the aftermarket intakes?

if you got a bigger heat exchange, methanol injection, dropped the pulley on down, and got a legit tune... it'd be a strong runner:

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Universal Stage 1 : Alcohol Injection Kits : Devils Own Alcohol Injection Devilsown

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

DO IT! l

and i'll be the 1st to admit, it's totally not fair that we can buy a dp, cai, IC piping, and get a tune and put down around 310whp, lol

I love turbo cars, but the sound of a supercharger is still very dear to my heart.... i've had the chance to own both(had a modded Grand Prix GTP) and while a turbo may give make power easier, I still love the power on demand a supercharged car offers... there are days I still miss this:

http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e7...nt=gtp0-95.mp4

but then I remember this:

http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e7...t=MOV00099.mp4
(note it doesn't sound like that now, I went to the Hahn CAI, so it has a completely different "note" with the BPV)

oh and that sound clip was with the AEM elbow, and Josh if you want it, i'll bring it to you... or if any other LNF owners are interested... it fits the stock air box, but supposedly offers better air flow, ZZP picked up 8whp with it... I paid like $75 for it, but its collecting dust now, i'd gladly donate it to the cause... well if I can find it, which I think its in my "stock parts" box at my dads....

also have two stock continental tiress from way back when i'll donate to the cause, they too are taking up too much room in my dad's shop... I don't really care but i'm sure he wants them gone, lol

they are practically new, they only had 18,000 miles on them and NEVER were on the front of the car, I spun the front tires off and then went to a better, wider tire... they would make someone on the stock tires a great companion...

Who's the 'other' black one? I think I've seen a black one around Wall Triana, but it has a high rise. I try to keep a low profile (no pun intended, regardless I have a low profile wing)

Wes ( mustang owner ) isn't going to come because the crew he is working with is staying in pensacola until next Thurs. I told the girl about it ( had to get permission this close to a holiday since we have so much to do ) and she was kinda down for it if it wasn't going to be bad. Just looked at the weather for both meridian and bham and looks like it is going to be a pretty nice day Sat. So I maybe able to make it. She doesn't care she is a teacher and has 3 weeks off for the holidays bucking fitch >.<.

I don't know. I used to know a guy with a black one back in 2005 or 2006. I'm sure he got rid of it by now. Either that or has been keeping a very very low profile. I'm all over this town a lot and to be honest I see a bunch of Cobalts just passing my work every day. I have only seen that black one twice. Plus no one realizes that mine is an SS till they either look inside or I tell them. Mine has been completely debadged on the outside and I'm sure I'm not the only one that has one debadged.

There are quite a few Cobalts in Huntsville, but not many Cobalt SSs. And I feel like the majority of the people around here won't go and buy a Cobalt and get an SS/TC kit for the car. If I see the bottom lip on the front and rear bumper, front and rear disc brakes, and an intercooler, well, that's all I need to see to know. As well as the boost gauge helps. Yes, I'm sad and pay a lot of attention to details.... while I drive. Don't ask me how I have been able to avoid an accident thus far *knocks on wood* There is a silver Cobalt SS/TC, a yellow Cobalt SS/SC, and two black Cobalt SS that I've seen... one was a turbo and the other was a super. Rims and front brakes gave it away... both with high rise spoilers. I've seen a sport red SS/TC a couple of times on University Dr. and Rideout Rd. I think I'm the only one with a Black SS/TC with a shorty antenna, tinted windows, and low rise spoiler. And if you get a good glimpse, you might see the RPD

alright, i'll try to round them up today...

as far as turbo Cobalts, i've seen two others here, one was yellow but I haven't seen it again and it was on the highway so could have just been a traveler... the other is an electrician as well(couple of years ahead of me in class), he has a 52 tag on his car which is Morgan county, so I assume he is from Decatur, he has the high rise spoiler on his car... his friend is in my class at the local as well... he got to be a witness(was in the car with his friend) during our race

He is also right now working at Toyota(for a contractor) in Huntsville, so that may be the one with the high rise you guys are seeing in Huntsville.... in a couple of weeks, I may be joining him up there as we are finishing up our job and they may send me up there

i've been trying to tell Lawrence(his friend, don't know his name) to tell him I said he needs to get tuned, I mean, he's seen the results 1st hand, lol

Well it's official! If I can't find another ECM then I won't be making it to the meet. Was going to work this morning and made it down the road and their it went. I barely made it back home. Sorry guys I really wanted to be there but I'm having to find a ride just to get to bham for Christmas. I really really really hate the damn Holidays!!!
