Forced Induction! 2.2 HHR in NC
Hello!
I am damn near crazy for even considering this, but I REALLY want to get some power out of my 2.2l HHR. I never planned on keeping it, but now that time has passed it is a MUCH better option to just keep it. I feel that there is an absolute lack of power in my car and that it could do so much better. I am posting here in the South East forums bc if it can go down, I would more than likely need a few pointers on where to go and what to do in case I need anything local.
First things first.
1. Unfortunately its an automatic.. but whatever it will have to do.
2. I don't know sh*t about super/turbocharging and the amount of work needed to install, so I WILL need to pay up for labor... doesn't matter if installation is done at someone's home or a shop... as long as I'm not screwed over....
3. I want to go with the most cost effective route.. which my guess would be SC instead of turbo, but then again.. idk sh*t...
4. I would more than likely support a member here by buying their SC/Turbo kit!
5. Its an HHR with the 2.2l with around 104,xxx miles on it...
I want to have an idea of how much it would cost to get this done, where or with whom I could do this, and also to see if it is worth it or not. If not, I will continue to pretend that my POS is quick and exciting.
Give me advice if you have any... either get the idea out of my head or help make this a serious decision. Would anybody be up for the challenge?
By the way, here is the car in question:
Thanks in advance...

As far as the how-to's I've gone through a lot of them and personally I know I wouldn't be able to handle it... and it doesn't help that there aren't many 2.2l HHRs out there that are SC/TC...

There is a TON of information here and that is good and bad for me at the same time. Good because I always have something to refer back to, but bad because none of them are HHRs... which I'm sure is one of the main reasons nobody really does it, it's sort of intimidating... Also, I don't really have a garage or any decent space that would allow me to work for an extended amount of time. These things are what makes the idea seem out of reach for me.

I'm on chevyhhr.net, but its very hard to find valuable info there. Most of it is appearance and other simple modifications. Thats why I came here. Thanks either ways man!
As far as the mods go, I've kept it simple
Exterior:
SS front bumper
18" gunmetal Cobalt SS wheels
Black headlights
20% tint all around
Suspension:
Goldline lowering springs
TTR rear sway bar
Engine:
CGS "axelback" exhaust
Airaid Intake
And a few other minor details...
