Saturday, February 14th 2009 Gulf Coast Ecotecs will meet in Gulfport, Ms, have a light lunch, and then cruise over to Mobile to explore the USS Alabama and all of Battleship Park. After all the fun and adventure there, we can all have dinner in the city. Promptly after, we can meet up with MA Racing so they can show us around the city. TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS, please notify your boss(es) asap. I am announcing well in advance so you may get your funds together. Feel free to bring your spouse/girlfriend/arm candy. There will be plenty fun to go around!

If weather isn't cooperating on that day, then we will simply move the event to the next day, Sunday February 15th. If the weather still isn't cooperating then the meet will be moved to the following weekend. Feel free to post questions, comments, or observations here. Yes, I am aware that this is on or near Valentines Day. Put 2 and 2 together folks.

Might want to start a new thread in the Southeast forum titled something like "Cobalt Meet USS Alabama Park in Mobile AL" and then list the details...

not everyone will see it in this thread

GCE Announcement: Window Decals

That's right folks! I've found the person that will make our decals. The cost will be $9 for a simple 6" x 2" text decal that says Gulf Coast ECOtecs. This includes the price of shipping and the decal can be made in any color you want. This can be temporary until we find the time to decide on a better decal, but for now we'll have to live with simply GCE. If you're a member of this club, this decal WILL be on your car. Remember those three fonts I posted up previously? Here's the picture.
We need to decide like NOW on which font we want to use. No one else threw in a font that they liked so please chose from the three. Whichever has the most votes will be our decal text. "M" for Mistral, "BHI" for Brandley Hand, and "JHL" for the John Handy one...

I'll start the order list. Just fill your name in, how many you want, which color, which text, and your final price. You have until the end of next week! Go!

Trey - 1 Decal; yellow; BH; $9

NOTE:
When I figure out how this guy wants to be paid, we'll need someone to pay him. Of course, each of us will give the person paying the money due before we place our order.

Trey - 1 Decal; yellow; BH; $9
Anthony - 1 Decal; red; JHL; $9
Rusty - 2 Decals; blue; JHL; $18
Kevin - 1 Decal ; yellow; BH; $9
Adam - 2 Decals; silver; JHL; $18
Aaron - ?
Dan - ?

Rusty, please confirm that blue is the color you want. Also, Anthony volunteered to pay, so we'll need everyone to come out at the end of next weekend to pay anthony so he can pay the decal man. The name of the company that is making them for us is called Street Racer INC, or SRI. I met him on cardomain, where he then refered me over to localcobalt.net.

Anthony, he said that he prefers Pay Pal as the transaction method. If you can't do that then let me know and I'll ask Kevin to pay for us.

Also, how do we want our decals? Here are the two options:
Gulf Coast
ECOtecs

or

Gulf Coast ECOtecs

Please let me know asap. I like either, but the size of the decal depends on which format you like the best.

Please make a decision. Personally, I like both, but GCE is smaller and will easily fit nearly anywhere on the car.

This decal would cost us $15, would consist of two layers, and would probably require a different decal maker. I've already talked to this guy about that decal and when he e-mailed me back with his "finished" idea, it was quite horrible. He seemed to not understand what I had to say, so I told him to just forget about it and to stick with something simple. I'd like to talk to someone local about that sticker, that way I can talk to them face to face so they'll understand what I want.

Rusty, your order has been changed to black.

Trey - 1 Decal; yellow; BH; $9; GCE/Gulf Coast ECOtecs
Anthony - 1 Decal; red; JHL; $9; GCE
Rusty - 2 Decals; black; JHL; $18; GCE
Kevin - 1 Decal ; yellow; BH; $9
Adam - 2 Decals; silver; JHL; $18
Aaron - ? Decal(s); brushed aluminum/silver; ? text style; ? price; Gulf Coast ECOtecs
Dan - ?

Anthony, any word from Dan on what he would like?
Kevin/Adam, would you like GCE or Gulf Coast ECOtecs?
Aaron, how many decals? Which text do you vote for? And please confirm that brushed aluminum is the color you still want. If he doesn't have that color then would you settle for silver?
