The only thing between me and showing up atm is washing my car...yeah I know sad. I've been planning on washing it for the past 3 weeks but somehow I keep putting it off...oh well. With a gravel driveway here at the house (~1/10 mile) and one at the farm (2/5 mile) I have a 1/4" thick dust coating on the inside of my rear wheels

Ok so unless something REALLY strange happens I will be there. And I just might bring a friend, though he has no cobalt (04 Base Cavalier daily, 95 Nissan 240SX se "project")

Anyway ill check back tomorrow or friday and see if there are any changes and just how many people might show, though if it's only a few, then so be it, it's better to meet a few cobalt drivers than no cobalt drivers.

I think that I too am down for this meet, even if only a few show up. It's a bit of a drive, but I've been fiending for a cobalt meet for some time.

OK, so this is definately on! Since i'm guessing we will have 10 people max, lets figure out the food situation. They have grills there, so I'll bring enough hamburgers(with ecoli) and hotdogs with buns, and a couple cases of beer. Which kind of beer? And for non-beerdrinkers, I could get a 12pack of soda, or whatever you guys would like. Anyone else wanna pitch in with some specifics? Plates napkins etc..

Also, if we are down for running out the the track that was mentioned earlier, how are we going to go about doing that? I know not everyone is trying to race around, so maybe if we do that, plan on it being towards the end of the meet?

I can do plates and paper towels/napkins. Guess I can get a couple of 2 liters of something and some cups too.

 

just going to throw this out there since I've been to tanglewood.

Make sure you have some charcoal and lighter fluid.

Also since the place is large, before you get to the main gate, there is a road to the left that runs to some soccer fields and the motor home parking. Probably a great place to meet up before heading into the park. Just some suggestions. Hate that I will be missing the fun and activities. Hope you guys get some good pictures.

 

Oh, so you want to bring the Hamburgs and all that, thats cool. I can bring beverages of the pop/soda type, guess a twelve pack of coke and pepsi, or mountain dew ? If I can find a cooler that'd help so I could keep them cold. I was about to say lets just find a place to eat but all for the hanging out there, maybe I dig and see if I can find a football or something(being a park and all gotta have something to do).

I thought I was going to have to cancel yesterday, yea me! I got very sick after going into work, had a fever of 102 and was achy all over and felt like I was going to puke non-stop but I am feeling great this morn compared to yesterday. Just hope I stay this way.

Someone said something about washing their car, yea i hear ya, I hate having mine even the slightest dirty looking. Thinking about going to get my windows tinted today, but I am trying to save all I can so I can pay off a couple cards so than I can really save haha.

And how about the suggestion to meet at the soccerfields? Sounds like a good idea if it is easily findable. I looked on the map of the park, and I think I see the road, but im not sure.. It may be safer to just meet at the visitor's center.. What do you guys think?

 

The Welcome center looks like the best place to meet up at. Thanks to off and on rain I did NOT get to wash my car today. (Ok more because of all the other crap going on ) But I wil be there anyway. (May get to wash it first thing in the morning.

Oh well atleast the rain washed about 1/2 the crap off the car, too bad it looks just as shitty like this. I'll take pics before washing just so everyone can see how bad it really is.

But booo! I hit a ******* deer on the way home.. And boy did it get me good. Jumped out as i was slowing down, and BAM! The deer got airborne, and I immediately started swearing. **** you nature!

Well pretty much just got in, do not have to help install that tube haha, some friends showed up there and helped them get it set in so woo hoo. Talk about a boring, crappy, crazy/stupid people drive up there and back though besides when ALL 4 of us were running together to go to Greenville GP.

Anyway get into it w/ another car on the way out? I ate up a '97 or so civic and ran a regular Mazda 3, I made one nice move and they fell way back when we came to traffic. Eh, that was my fun for awhile cause I usually do not do that stuff when there is alot of other vehicles.

Nice meeting all of you, god it would of been alittle better if we had the 7 people show instead of 4.

Bahh looks like it turned out to be a semi crappy day for everyone then I PMed TKolb325 about my fun from this morning earlier, in short I got tied up working all day and JUST got in now (I think that was something like 15hrs from when I left the house....), only im out again here in a few to go get things together to go out of town tomorrow.

Hell next time something's going on somewhere else im gonna have to drag my ass away from all this damn bullshit around here and go. I had been looking foward to meeting soe of you people (even if it was only 4 others) just to end up doing crap I REALLY didnt want to do anyway. /rant about crap that's in part my own damn fault
